1) Each year our MLA program offers 15 positions to new students. Altogether, we have maxium 45 mla students enrolled in three classes. This is our limit set due to space availability and faculty teaching load.
2) Without any recuiting effort, we receive 110 to 130 applicants each year. About 2/3 of which are from China in last three years. The remaining are from USA and other countries. In 1999, our MLA program accepted the first Chinese student who is now senior associate at SWA. In the past few years, we have seen a significant increase of Chinese students in our program because of the market demand in China. This appears to be a current trend in most of MLA programs in USA.
3) All our Chinese MLA students have bee employed upon their graduation. Many of them now work at best LA firms throughout USA and even become partners, vice president, and senior associate at EDSA, AECOM, SWA, DesignWorkshop, just to name a few.
