大牛校 但是坑比较深，不知道毕业以后除了发考题还能找啥样的工作.

Two PhD research assistant positions are available in Dr. Zi Chen's group(
starting dates negotiable--it is still possible to expedite the addimission
process for Sep. 2014 enrollment, or the candidates can start from January
or March of 2015 ). Visiting or postdoctoral positions are also available
for highly qualified candidates. A successful candidate will work on one or
multiples of the following topics: mechanics of morphogenesis in plants/
embryos, fast motion of plants (e.g., the Venus flytrap's rapid closure),
mechanical self-assembly and instability of thin structures (e.g., DNA,
plant tendrils, self-assembly of nanostructures, etc.), and bioinspired
structures.

The candidate should have a BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering,
Engineering Mechanics, Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science
and Engineering, or any related field, with outstanding academic records.
Full financial support will be provided with competitive stipends and
benefits. Dr. Zi Chen strives to provide a stimulating environment with
exciting research topics and excellent colleagues where the candidates can
be trained to become outstanding independent researchers, with sufficient
freedom to explore their own ideas while working on well-designed projects.

卧槽老娘当年新毕业，不信邪，跑去跟了个中国ap，结果一入侯门深似海，一年多下来半条命都快没了，还好老天开眼让我有机会闪得快！

没咋。就博后碰到一个中国老板，被压榨得很厉害，而且对方知道我没有身份所以欺负我我也不敢吭声。当时因为要转opt要转h1所以没办法，忍了大概一年多，然后偷偷搞定绿卡了就闪人了就。
也没啥，中国faculty得问题就是多半知道你的底限和最担心的是啥，所以中国老板会更倾向于用身份压你。

ps，能在美国当上老板的中国人，大部分国内都是牛校出来的，中国牛校么，大家都懂得，出来的人都是把自己当人把别人当蠢货的，觉得我留你在美国你给我扫地都是应该的。
所以，呵呵。

各位当上faculty的版主用人的时候还是不要push得太狠，有些事情，以后谁比谁站的好，这事还不知道呢。

我毕业至今选择工作 都首先把中国faculty的剃掉，说实话就算是美国faculty里面bt一部分 nice一部分 让你感觉heaven的也有一小部分。。但是中国faculty99%让你感到bt

我虽然工作档次都不太高 assistant level 但是我的两任外籍老板教会了我很多很多 专业知识和做人道理，这些要是我跟了中国老板是完全不可能学到的 而且让我很好的准备了 随时在世界哪个角落都能找到工作的能力。

跟中国老板（或者说亚裔老板） 某种意义上 失去了留学的意义。。你毕业了找工作也非常非常有限和艰难

PhD是5年的生活 一定要慎重。。而且WUSTL 我去过面试几次，城市生活算中等，离名校 和好地方 这两个要求都差好大一截。。算不上好offer

跟中国老板（或者说亚裔老板） 某种意义上 失去了留学的意义。。你毕业了找工作也非常非常有限和艰难

现在美国的faculty不是那么抢手的职业,为了甜妞拼命折腾自己折腾学生,而且工资也不高.
