Imaginative works such as novels, plays, films, fairy tales, and legends present a more accurate and meaningful picture of human experience than do factual accounts. Because the creators of fiction shape and focus reality rather than report on it literally, their creations have a more lasting significance.

  There is much controversory over the issue of whether the imaginative works play more important role on presenting the accurate and meaningful picture of human experience than  factual accounts. Some people in favor of factual account ,but others not. As far as I am concerned ,I tended to agree with the latter  because the fictional plots can bring different dimensions of a historical reality and reveal the   meanings in the human experience.
      Admittedly, factual works seemed to be more “accurate” since they are based on the history facts. But few people can remember the accurate details about an affair toke place 10 years ago, and say noting of 100 years ago. Why? Because they lack of meanings. In general, factual works  focus merely on the specific people and event based on the reality. As newsreel in our daily life, we could be shocked by some of them ,but forget them soon due to the long history  and their tedious plots. on the other hand ,people can not read human experience like historian who live up on the history textbooks that full of numbers and facts.
     On the contrary, the creators of fiction get rid of the bond of the "reality". They can put  several prototypes into one person who is more complicated and representative. At the same time ,the imaginative plots and people can make historical events more attractive.For example ,any one who read the novel  “ dream of the red chamber ”of China writer Cao Xueqin would be sad and moved by the tragedy arose by JiaBaoyu and LinDaiyu’s strong love and the hatred about  family in old Chinese society.We can no longer keep serenity when we get the meanings of human experience which artist put into his work..We can also acknowledge the real life of 18-19 century in China through the eye of character in novel. So we can also say the fictional novel also present more meaningful picture of human experience while based on the accurate history surroundings.  
     In sum ,the factual accounts add much of  meanings in fictional works .Meanwhile,The fiction works focus on the commen concerns of all generations such as love and hate ,happiness and greif and so no  by the way of creative tools asuch as imagery .It is the true human experience other than purely figures and facts in the textbooks.
