According to the speaker, the artistic works or historical displays that a museum wishes to exhibit should never be censored by government. Although I consent that the liberty of museum to held exhibitions should be esteemed, I strongly disagree with speaker's assertion, which acquits that the conception of censorship hasn't been fathomed and the function of it was misconceived and bombastic in speaker's mind.  Advisable censorship of government for exhibitions of museum is imperative and favorable to our society.

Firstly, artistic works or historical displays need to be censored because of their innate limitation. Artistic works often represent authors' ideologies. They are obviously related to their own experiences of life. Whether these ideologies, including worldview, value conception and so on, are accepted by our people, society or government remains unknown. A veteran, who is suffering the agony physically and mentally bequeathed by the war, is likely to describe a sanguinary, brutal and inhuman figure of war to people in his works, which is rather extreme and may arose exaggerated and jaundiced attitudes for war among community. Historical displays are also restricted by their characteristics of times. Historical relic or treasures could reflect those once glorious empires at various aspects, especially give an image of the culture and society.  However, the history is not always glutted of good things such as honesty, justice and so on. A historical display of Nazi Germany may ignite the passion of those who are subliminal fascists if it is not in the proper way. Thus, it can be seen that the nature of artistic works and historical displays determines that they cannot escape from censorship.

Secondly, censorship is rewarding when government classifies the exhibitions of museum. No matter artistic works or historical displays, they cover an enormous scope severally and each aspect may satisfy and fit a certain group of people. A show of photography works with the theme of physical beauty would scare parents with underage children. Similarly, kids will cry for leaving if coffins and skeletons are all around the room. Censor has been playing a crucial role in the classification of cable TV program and movie field. It is proved to be a wised and successful approach to give people what they want and appropriate to watch. In our case, government should also establish censor policy to the artistic works and historical displays since they are even more direct quomodos to offer visual information. Opponents may say that museums have done this for government. They know what they are exhibiting.  My response is that censorship from government could set up a common basis of our society and make sure that wherever people visit, they can see the coequal classified exhibitions.

Finally, I must admit that some facts of our society or history may be covered since they are inconsistent with the policies, orientation or propagandism of government. But, I do believe that a rational government knows how to deal with this problem, which is not a contradiction in fact. Any freedom has its limitation. Under an advisable censorship, museum also can exhibit what it wishes to do, which is favorable to the stabilization and solidarity of society.

In a word, to censor the artistic works or historical displays does not mean to control or restrict the freedom of museum to exhibit, but to remove the matter considered objectionable for our society by expurgation or alternation. Government should unhesitatingly carries out it since it benefits the majority of people and community.
