In the era of popularity of cultural traditions, people are concerned more[more置前,更关心吧] about the preservation and generation of their cultural traditions. Do the nation’s major cities which receive the financial support they need, preserved and generated the nation’s mainly cultural traditions, could lead to the nations’ thrive? In my view, their major cities need the nation’s financial support indeed. But I disagree with this financial support is attributable to the preservation and generation of their nation’s cultural traditions, and then thrive to their nation.
First of all, their major cities need the nation’s support very much. Ensuring the development of their major cities which is healthy and steady is the proper role of government. [As]Because a nation’s major cities is the central of arts, economy and politic in the country, it control the economy lifeline of the nation.[这里似乎应再具体强调大城市的作用,然后提出大城市的要求才更为充分] Admittedly, certain objective, such as public health and safety, transportation, environmental and electricity, are so essential to the survival of large cities and of nations that government has a duty to ensure that they are met. And the government has responsibility to ensure that the large cities have enough money to address those problems. In short, sending financial support to their major cities is the role of the government.
Secondly, granted that the large cities receive enough financial support, there is no guarantee that they would have used[怎么用虚拟了?] this financial support to preserve and generate their cultural traditions, since there is not the function of the government. Many reports indicate that most of the financial support which is used to preserve the cultural traditions is[去掉] come from private individual and business rather than the government. For example, during the 20th century, the primary sources of cultural support were private foundation established by industrial magnates Rockefeller and Getty. [好象有点前后矛盾,不应这么快转]However, the government should also play a role in preserving and generating cultural traditions regardless of financial support, such as develop the education of cultural traditions, recognize some performance of cultural traditions, in that the nation’s thrive also include the healthy and steady development of cultural traditions.
Finally, and maybe the most importantly, the speaker unfairly asserts that a nation’s cultural traditions are mainly preserved and generated in their major cities. Today, a nation’s distinct cultural traditions—its folk arts, crafts, traditional songs, customs and ceremonies—burgeon[好词] instead in small town and rural regions. Consider, for instance, in small town, they will play dragon in New Year every year along with the people wearing traditional cloth dancing. But in cities, they have nothing traditional programs rather than watching TV that might have some traditional performance and eating reunion dinner.[我也举了这例子] Even if the big cities serve as our arts center, but[省] big-city cultural has little to do with one nation’s distinct cultural traditions. Big cities would have to become multicultural location for adapting the sharply development of economy and continually increased communication of nations. Therefore, we can not ensure that big cities are the location which preserved and generated a nation’s primarily cultural traditions.[如果这里能再对比以下怎样才能preserve culture可能更全面]
In sum, government should send enough financial support to their major cities, but not for the reason that their major cities preserved and generated their mainly cultural traditions. In addition, we can not guarantee that the cultural traditions’ thrive could lead to the nation’s boom. In the final analysis, I fundamentally disagree with the speaker’s assertion.
看完了,还可以, 起码没跑题.
担和我担心自己一样, 文章的观点不够新颖, 好象看着看着就过了,印象不深. 怎么解决理论的问题啊?????
