Much of the information that people assume is 'factual' actually turns out to be inaccurate. Thus, any piece of information referred to as a 'fact' should be mistrusted since it may well be proven false in the future.

2， 由于这些不正确的信息的存在，人们需要有质疑的态度

In our society, there is a great amount of information which is accepted by people as truth. However, are these facts really accurate/truthful enough? In my point of view, the information reviewed by people as fact is not as accurate as people hope, and even may be turn out to be false in the future, therefore before people accept them, they should hold skeptical thoughts.

Firstly, our world is full a great amount of information which is thought as fact, but as a matter of fact the ”factual truth” may be not accurate one hold by mankind. Generally speaking, the information accepted by people stems from different sources. The most important one is people's observation. However, in most cases, observers are influenced by several conditions such as the limited observing tools, biased accounts, fallible records, all of which may lead to untenable results of these observation and provide inaccurate information to people. For example, in ancient time, via their own observation through eyes, people found that the sum raise in the east and set in the west of the earth, so they believed that it is the earth that is the center of the universe. Nevertheless, with the development and progress of the observing equipment such as telescope invented by Galileo and apace shuttles traveling in the universe , there are countless evidences showing that it is not the earth but the sun is the center of the universe-that is the heliocentric theory. From this point, due to limited/imperfect material conditions or levels of knowledge, the "true" fact mastered by people may be not accurate enough, and with the progress of observing methods and enhancement of knowledge , people will these “factual truth” will turn out to be false in the future.

Secondly, because of the existence of these false facts believed by people, the skeptical thought is needed before people accept them. The dubious thought is so necessary since it can help people uncover untruth and bias and thereby reveal the real law in the nature and the society. This is significantly true in the field of natural science. The history of natural science is a one replete with doubts and challenges, and it is the skepticism and challenge that promote the development and advance of knowledge and civilization. To illustrate, the dubious thought of Copernicus disprove the deplete theory of geocentric; the skeptical spirit of Einstein revealed the theory of relativity and disprove the established but mistaken linear theory of Newton. Similarly, in the field of social science, lots of biased opinions-woman are incapable of voting intelligently; mixing the blood of race will lead to genetically inferior offspring; the society should be ruled by particular monocrat because of the idea of God- are denied by skepticism and dubious spirits. In this sense, it is the skeptical thought that ensures the improvement of society..

However, undue skepticism is counteractive and may lead to negative consequences. After all, people should not deny all of the information, and some basic facts should be hold. For example person should accept the theory of gravitation and other basic scientific theories; otherwise our society may be full of ignorance and confusion. What is more, people should hold some believes involving freedom and equality and so on, or else the whole society may suffer threatens of unfair separation or horrible autocracy. Therefore certain fundamental information is the basis of development and stability of the whole world.

In sum, in our lives there are a myriad of information which may be faulty assumption or sense believes, and only through skeptical thoughts and inquiring attitudes can people eliminate false and half-truth, accept the factual ones and then pave the way for future developing of the world.
