Research Positions in Microsoft Research Asia Theory Group

Position Title: Research Manager / Researcher / Associate Researcher in Theor
y Group
Working Location: Beijing, P.R. China

The Theory Group of Microsoft Research Asia are seeking established or promis
ing stars of theorists in any aspects of computing. The preferred research ar
eas include but definitely NOT limited to: Numerical Computation, Cryptograph
y, Combinatorics, Geometry, Information Theory, Algorithms, Signal Processing
, Optimization/Operation Research, Statistics/Random Process, etc.

Candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics or Physics, or
in theoretical computer, with a strong publication record in top journals and
conferences. Candidates need to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, and
be able to work independently on formulating practical problems and solving
challenging theoretical problems.
