我也想知道为什么第9题不选steadily?
还有弱弱地问第22题,原文是in rougher parts of the inland valleys area and in eastern Oregon prior to the arrival of the horse,it was the principal mode of long distance travel
这句话中的it 指的是hiking,prior to 的意思是before 那么before the arrival of the horse是怎么得到选项B horses replaced traveling by foot in more rugged areas  ???

prior 不光是BEFORE的意思,还有preferable ,优先的意思,就是越不平坦的地方应该用马~~~

25题应改为 another  described 和defined并列 ，不是和 affect并列

it was the principal mode of ......意思是在马到来前，TRAVEL是步行，也就是
暗指马后来代替了步行
