TOPIC: ISSUE121 - "At various times in the geological past, many species have become extinct as a result of natural, rather than human, processes. Thus, there is no justification for society to make extraordinary efforts, especially at a great cost in money and jobs, to save endangered species."

Should we spend a great deal of efforts, especially in money and jobs to save endangered species? In past time, various species have been damaged due to plenty of natural or human factors, while not as the statement said that extinction of species are the result of natural rather than human behavior. In my opinion, I believe we should and even must to protect endangered species in this world.

Admittedly, the extinction of various species were partly because of natural process. But in my opinion, I must concede that human behavior has do more harm to the species. From past time to now, every country and area are facing rapid social and technological development, though people are almost always emphasizing the significance of the protection of environment or species. Yet, with the success and convenience provided by the development which has influenced our environment, and especially in technology area, people are all gone their head by their accomplishment. The industrial revolution has created a new world which is mostly different from past world to human, while in the meantime, it also created many environmental problems. Deforestation has provided us more desert and animals have no place to inhabit. Amazon rainforest has not own various animals as before. The more and more horrible environment pollution made by amounts of construction of factories has disappeared lots of species  in the geological past.

Although the extinction of various species is partly attributable to natural factor, such as the higher global temperature, the shortage of world resources, and other problems, human should assume the most part of responsibilities. Without human behaviors to the earth, there is no plenty of extinction of the species. Admittedly, there are some contemporary social problems facing our human beings. Violence, terrorism, war, global infective disease, AIDS, and so forth, all these problems indeed do influence our life, and human should cost a lot on them. Yet, partly of these problems cannot be easily resolved at a time, which were provided since the human come to this world. The government need not paid to much attention to these problems, what they should do is to spend great money or jobs on problems which can be quickly solved. Such the environmental problem is the one that human must firstly resolved. The environmental problem has not only influenced our human life, but also damaged the animals' inhabitant and finally damaged the whole species.

Environmental problems has been the first problem of the Earth since with its influence we have lost plenty of species which have companied our ancestors before. If we cannot pay attention to this problem and do not want to cost time and money on this, then the final result is just like some extinct species, we will damage the Earth by ourselves. In short, the extinction of amounts of  species are provided by human behavior. We should be responsible for species and especially ourselves
