The wheel of history never stops no matter whether you have noticed it or not. Everything is changing with the time. When asked what changes the new century will bring to us, people have different answers and explanations. As far as I am concerned, these changes can be summarized from various aspects. I would like to explain some representatives of them to show my opinion about this question. I will analyze from physical, mental, environmental aspects.

To begin with, the new century will bring changes to us physically. As we know, with the development of the science and technology, people’s living condition is being improved. They earn more than before from their employment. With the money, they will be able to afford more healthy vegetables and fresh meat for the meals, they can buy air-conditionings to deal with hot summers and cold winters, and what is more, they can employ time-workers to address their housework and enjoy the free time.

Secondly, when it comes to the mental aspect, the new century can bring us both positive and negative changes. On one hand, more and more public places such as cinemas, parks, and entertainment centers will be constructed everywhere. People can enjoy the exciting films they want in the cinemas, can view the beautiful landscape of the parks after the heavy workload, and can adjust the tedious life-pace by singing or dancing in the entertainment centers. On the other hand, the busier schedule and heavier workload can cause a lot of mental problems to people. There is a survey showing that the number of people who suffer mental illness just from the unbelievable schedule. What a danger if the new century will continue to enlarge this figure.

Last but not least, the new century will bring changes to the environment of the earth. The artificial landscapes will beatify the surrounding of our houses, the highways will facilitate the transportation, and the techniques will be further advanced to predict or avoid the nature disasters such as earthquake, hurricane, and tsunami. Nevertheless, the new century will also bring us a more polluted world. Air pollution, wastage, and noise really do harm to our health. They are becoming more and more severe if left unaddressed.

All in all, from what has been discussed above, we can see that the new century will bring us a lot of changes from different aspects. While some of these changes are beneficial to us, others really do great harm. What we should do is to make full use these advantageous changes, and utilize our utmost to decrease the adverse impacts of the disadvantageous changes.
