- There is a huge debate in China when Qingzang railway connected to Tibet last summer. What people pay more attention to is whether such wilderness areas as Tibet should be more opening to the outside world. Because when railway connects Tibet with outside, it may bring some tourists who could not only contribute to Tibet's economy but also bring some destruction to Tibet's natural state. In my point of view, the destruction will (be) much more than the contribution, so government should preserve publicly owned wilderness areas in their natural state.(叹气.blue的开头老是那么好..
To begin with, for the environmental sake, it is greatly necessary for us to protect these wilderness areas as natural as they used to be. The uncultured areas are a gift (given)from the nature. (你的思维很美啊,要是用更加地道的表达就更好了)These areas may be without rapid development, but they preserve the most natural beauty which will be never come back on the earth; For example, Amazon Tropical rain forest, because of abundant lumbers, the rain forest may be easily destructed. And once under the instruction, it will be hard to recover. Destruction in Amazon Tropical rain forest will also make a great influence on its surrounding environment. Therefore, government should take more effort to protect these wilderness areas.(可以看出作者清晰的思路,例子也很充实,不过后面government 的出现有点突兀,个人就不能保护么?
Secondly, for the research's sake, reserving the wilderness can conserve some unique characters of the race that may produce no profit today but leave great value to the anthropologic research and our offspring in the future.(很详细,但似乎不必要,难道就只对人类学有用么? These areas may be far away from modern civilization, but they retain unique national culture which constitutes a colorful culture in the world. For instance, Tibet mentioned above, not only has the cleanest air and most abundant sunshine all over the world, but also holds a whole race in China and a exclusive culture in the world. To preserve the culture of these areas will provide more data to research of anthropology and contribute to research of the change of species and earth. A increasing number of tourists who rush into Tibet right off together must bring some destruction and pollution to environment, temples and unaffected life there, despite whatever economic achievement they had contributed. Faced lots of tourists rushed into Potala Palace, one of principals said (and I paraphrase), "We don't need so that money or profits, we only want to watch for the temple in our heart. " Therefore, these wilderness areas should be protected by government in their natural state.
However, to preserve is not to close down, to let theses areas alone is not to abandon. As we all know, these wilderness areas are often extremely remote and not easy to get, although may be accessible to only a few people. As a result of being far away from modern world, these areas are also often far away from modern economy and up-to-date culture. Every body who had arrived there may know that theses areas are so poor that children there couldn't afford to study in school, even because of the poverty, there may not have any teacher. (讲到人类,很好,显得全面)Once a time last year, I went to Deqin, a district in Yunnan province in China, to cover an charity activity named "1 kg more", which means to bring 1 kg more of books and stationery to children in wilderness areas. When I arrived there, I felt regrettable for disturbing natural life there deeply, however, I also found that children there are so anxious about knowledge and information from outside world and are so eager to communicate with us in spirit coequally. I was so touched by children's eyes, the eyes told that they do need some basic resource to study, while what they need more are information and knowledge, respect and equality. So, to preserve these areas in natural state based on our eyes, or give them more chances to melt into modern society based on their views, is a question. In my view, governments should give some financing support (已经偏离preserving拉)which could construct a better life and preserve natural state there, and make kinds of plans which bring more information and knowledge to meet people's need.(汗,这里的例子好详细啊,但是似乎不大符合原作者的意思.
To sum up, from what has been discussed above, we could draw a conclusion that government should preserve wilderness areas as natural state as they used to be, for sake of both environment and research. However, when preserving these areas, government should also devote more financing support and information communication, which are also really need in these areas.
