TOPIC: ISSUE150 - "Because of television and worldwide computer connections, people can now become familiar with a great many places that they have never visited. As a result, tourism will soon become obsolete."
Outline:
1.       It is true that internet and television help people a lot to know about interesting places in the world.
2.       However, trip cannot be replaced, because tour brings people different feeling.
3.       On the contrary, the development of TV and worldwide computer connection will stimulate tourism.

It cannot be denied that with the development of television and worldwide computer connections, it turns common that people become familiar with lots of places they have never visited, but the whole thing becomes absurd the moment we think that tourism will thereby soon become obsolete. Actually, tourism will not be prevented but it will be enhanced greatly to some degree.

Granted, people can realize more and more places all over the world without moving in that as significant tools and media, television and computers helps us a lot. As we know, television and worldwide computers connections offer us a convenience way to feel about all places in the world. From internet, we get information involving interesting places and even those rare places where people never reach. In addition, television brings us visual and audio impact when we appreciate those great places we wish to visit. For instance, a great many beautiful places are introduced by “Discovery Channel”, a famous America program. Without moving, we finish visiting America National Park and Preserve.  .

However, the great prosperity of modern media can never diminish the passion of people to travel because what people obtain via visiting another place in the world is valuable and un-replaceable. Tourism gives us a special feeling about a place which we can never feel on the screen. For instance, we breathe the fresh air and feel the beautiful sun when we walking along a California sunny beach, escaping the stresses and distractions of urban settings and everyday life. Also, we can exercise our body and refresh our spirit on a trip. Moreover, after pains and sweats, we eventually reach the top of the Great wall, rather than look at the screen, sitting on the sofa still.

On the contrary, tourism will be greatly enhanced as the television and internet becoming increasingly common among us. In the past, people have no way to realize and see another place out of their nation. Nowadays, however, once people have a main idea about a beautiful place they prefer to, they might have a strong willing to visit there, and the information they get from TV and internet connection will be useful to help people make a visiting plan. As a result, the development of the worldwide media will undoubtedly stimulate tourism’s prosperity.

To sum up, it is true that television and worldwide computer connections brings us convenience and pleasure to browse and realize a great many places throughout the world, but tourism will never be replaced. On the contrary, it will be stimulated and enhanced greatly.
