argument2. The following appeared in a letter sent by a committee of homeowners from the Deerhaven Acres to all homeowners in Deerhaven Acres. "Seven years ago, homeowners in nearby Brookville community adopted a set of restrictions on how the community's yards should be landscaped and what colors the exteriors of homes should be painted. Since then, average property values have tripled in Brookville. In order to raise property values in Deerhaven Acres, we should adopt our own set of restrictions on landscaping and housepainting." constructure: i> is the restriction 7 years ago still being inplementation now? since Brookville may require their color for other reason , for example aesthetic tropism, or regional tradition like.....or even more, just for fashion chasing.... ii> even if the purpose is for restriction , hardly to attribute .....with ;demand and supply main drive of property...... iii> now just we suppose .....cause..........consider different region, cultura, classification, envirnment..........one probably happen.... iv> even though convicing assessment has been made that.........some people might oppost to the idea for personal reason.their rights. v> Above, unless more detialed information been provided to assure..............it is inprudent to draw the conclution.....Besides, a hearing or survey of resident should also been taken in to consideration. The appearing letter shows the attemption of committee homeowners to restrict the exterior color and landscaping of the entire community on the purpose to raise property values in Deerhaven Acres. The fundamental support is the same requirement in Brookville community. However, this argument leaves a series of uncertainty which makes it unpractible and unconvicting to be received. In a blush , the writer seems to forget an important question. Since Brookville made that desicion seven years ago, how can we prove whether they still implement it now? What if they layaside it then turn to the other way which lead to the rising of property value? Even assumpts Brookville carry out the plan, that may be out of others reasons such like aesthetic tropism, regional tradition or even more for chasing fashionable style. One unfeigned case is the neighbourhood of my aunt where all the houses are designed of Italian taste, and it is acturally an italian community. If so , it is unsensable as well as costly to unify the whole community with the same look. Even though , Brookville set the policy intentionally to raise property value, there can be other variables which prompt the price of the houses. Perhaps much work is done as improving enviroment, building new transpotation tools, emerging hot industry which comes upon a multitute of houses demanding. Another factors might be the amount of supply , when less vacant rooms pushed on the market, the price will rush up regardless the decoration of the appearance. Even if we make it certain property value hoist has to do with restriction of exterior look and landscape, some people may disagree with the propose for personal reason. After all, it is allowable right for the residents to decide what color or surrounding about their own houses. In the letter, the speaker never mention any questionaire has been made before confirming the policy. In conclution, unless sufficient investigation provided by the committee that restriction is the causal of property value, it is inprudent to make the final disicion. Besides, general attitudes of the community towards the idea should also been taken into account. |
