刚做了０６０６的填空，有个问题你们前面没有讨论过：

1． Although Heron is well known for the broad comedy inthe movies she has directed previously, her new film is less inclined to__________:the gags are fewer and subtler.

(A) understatement

(B) preciosity

(D) buffoonery

(E) melodrama

1、尽管Heron在她以前执导的影片中因为庸俗的喜剧而著名，但是她的新电影却不象情景喜剧：噱头（插科打混）变少了并且变微妙了。

答案给的是Ｅ，我自己做得也是Ｅ，但是我的疑惑是Ｄ为什么不选？

理由：

查了下字典：comedy, melodrama,其实算是两种不同的体裁：

comedy: a : a drama of light and amusing character and typically with a happy ending  b : the genre of dramatic literature dealing with the comic or with the serious in a light or satirical manner
comedy 侧重点在幽默讽刺
melodrama: a work (as a movie or play) characterized by extravagant theatricality and by the predominance of plot and physical action over characterization
melodrama:夸张
再看buffoonery:  foolish or playful behavior or practice
buffoon:  a ludicrous figure  : CLOWN
buffoonery:应该是comedy的特点

全文句意：前半句说Ｈ的小说以ｃｏｍｅｄｙ见长，后半句转折说他的新作品没有ｃｏｍｅｄｙ的特点，后面解释新作品的特点。

大人的意思是这个选buffooney更好吗？
我觉得还是e比较合适阿
理由：空格对应的应该是the broad comedy，而不应该是comedy的特点，因为comedy本身就是H之前拍摄的movies的特点，所以私以为这里应该选一个剧种，和comedy相近就好了，而e刚好和broad又有所对应。
冒号后面得fewer和subtler就是对e的解释阿，如果选d，那冒号后面没法对应了阿

还有，大家今天作了这么多，有没发现出什么规律阿？
私以为，天空难题变得更难了。。汗。。简单的题目对应很好找但是词义理解要求高了。。
类反的话，有一个感觉是类似于carefree这种“合成”（不知道该不该这样叫）词比较多，至少比95-00的多。。看起来听和蔼平易近人的，结果一不小心就选错。。

偶选了D 因为觉得bemoan只有grief的感情
查MW发现也是regret/complain的..

我选A.. 不过MW里面imposing没有daunting的意思...
