在查询check status 方面：
在被check 10 天后，可以分别与大使馆和DOS联系，目的是确认大使馆已将check
request发出，而DOS也已收到check request.
在被check 30 天后，可以与FBI联系。每一个星期联系一次， 直到收到FBI的E-mail 回
复为止。提醒：如收到类似于’FBI has not been asked to the name check on you’
的信的时候，就得要打电话(202)-324-3625联系了。因为十有八九你的case 已经给弄丢
了。
PoohBear Notes: Recall from my post "How the checking works", the VO will send
a cable regarding your case to both the FBI and the DOS. Based on the same
post, the FBI is given 15 working days to finish the name check although it
may take longer. Therefore the 30 day estimates is conservatively correct.
However, I think you may start contacting the FBI a bit earlier. When you call
the FBI, the person will ask you to fax them your info first instead of
answering your inquiry over the phone. In the fax, you need to include your
name (indicate first and last), your date of birth and your email. You may
contact them by phone again sometime (say a week) after you fax your info.
This time, the person may interact with you over the phone. Accounting for
this delay, you may start contacting the FBI about 2-3 weeks after the check
starts and send your fax.
在FBI has completed the name check on you之后，就可以联系DOS了。但从许多case
来看，DOS的结果比较滞后。所以，当被告之’your case is still pending’ 的时候，
也许’your application has been cleared’的好消息就已经在路上了。
PoohBear's Notes: If the FBI clears your case and the DOS tells you that your
case is pending, you may contact the US consulate where you applied your visa.
You may ask the consulate to send a "special request" to the DOS which may
trigger the DOS to return the clearance result to the consulate. Recall from
my post "How the checking works", the FBI is the only agency whose result of
investigation that the DOS has to wait for before the final clearance of a
case.
For all the above communication between you and the FBI, the DOS, and the
consulate, if an official from your school or your company can also make
inquiries, the three organizations might respond more promptly.
