经过与poly的陈教授联系确证，阿里教授确有此人，且母语为西班牙语。

Dear nynyaaa,

Thank you for verifying this with me.
I know Prof Auri Steves for about five months over emails and telephone calls. He got Master degree from Mechanical Engineering Dept of Polytechnic University in 1970's, (This is a fact).
He is not working in Polytechnic University, (This is a fact). As he said, he has been in Beijing for about five years. He taught in several universities in Beijing as adjunct professor. He helped two students to us for Fall 07, (This is a fact). He didn’t charge students and he didn’t charge our school, (This is a fact).
As he told me, he also sent some Chinese students to other US universities. He came to USA from South America. His native language is Spanish. In my eyes, he is a warm-hearted old man who loves China and is willing to help Chinese students. This is a very rare case.

我已经通过变声器电话验证过，他英文确实很不好。我会写一个邮件去进行最终确认。
