第二段
作者认为答案是因为英国的relationship between commercial theaters and court was different after Civil War. 在欧洲大陆，专业女演员早就出现了，只是英国的观众并不接受女演员。有人说court是commercial theaters的分支，也就是说commercial theaters的观众和court的观众是同一类人，但作者认为他们虽然有关系，但不是绝对。其实court的观众并不排斥女演员，可是commercial theaters的观众会。
第三段
后来战争爆发了，许多theaters关闭。直到英国皇室复辟后，皇室才又在英国开启theaters，不过由于这些commercial theaters是在皇室的支持下开始的，所以它们对女演员的态度也一样，和court的观众一样都是支持专业女演员的。
大概就这样，就可以回答问题了。

短阅
讲自从计算机的digital photograph 出现之后，传统的照相的客观性和表达自然的特性就受到了质疑。因为digital photograph在外观上和传统的照相是一样的，人们无法分辨哪些是照相的事实，那些是经过计算机的修改的，有人甚至提议凡是digital的都在照片上加个”M”，以之和传统照相区别。
但作者指出传统照相要经过暗房冲洗等等过程，也是一定程度上的”修改”。而其实传统照相是必须根据事实而摄影，但是digital photograph 可以不需有真正的景物就可以做出。
第一题是传统照相和digital , differ from? 不同之处为何? 答案在第二段，就是传统照相必须依据事实，而digital 则否。
