I have to say these reasons are not compelling at all.....
1> High admittance rate does not mean shoddy programs. Mine is 92% as I recall, but I find the program realy awarding and I do not regret not going to IVY.
2> Chicago is a great place for architecture/art. Yes, downtown schools do not have playgrounds. But it's so bustling with opportunities and shows. I dont understand what's wrong with downtown (It doesnt mean you have to live downtown...)
3> How old are u..................................and you can always buy bagals or whatever you like. The school has a tiny cafeteria (but I hate it...), and lotssss of restaurants nearby.
I'm in the preservation program. SAIC's interior is good but I dont know much about it...However I have a friend in that department (undergrad), you can contact me if you like to talk to her.
I'm glad to see ur portfolio, but then what....? I may have very personal opinions and I dont know if they are useful to you....
