With increasing intruding and changing the nature, government should preserve publicly owned wildness areas which have specific land-use meaning, without being affected by the consideration that if it is remote and inaccessible to most people.

First of all, government should protect the wildness areas which are little imprinted by human activity and play a vital part in the environment. As important rings of the chain of nature, wildness areas keep the balance of ecology and variety of species, which once broken, may bring unpredictable effect. The tropic rainforest, as a typical example, only in a little part of the earth, creates almost half of the oxygen and has the most kinds of species in land. Compared as the lung of the earth, it translates a large amount of carbon dioxide into oxygen and organic material, thus cleaning the air; to be the genic mine, it has so many kinds of life-forms that it seems a puzzle to people who are ignorant of most of them, not to mention learn the habit. Because nature is interdependent, there may be deep influence even though only one part is impaired. Once the tree was deforested, not only the air controlling decreases, the soil gets infertile and the greenhouse effect is intensified, but also the biologic community subjects to a heavy harm, such as plants die from the change of condition, animals die from lacking food and home. In the same way, the marsh, one important part of the water circle to clean the polluted water, is called the kidney of the earth, which is demolished heavily and in danger. The wildness areas, forming for thousands of years, are damaged easily and quickly but difficult to be comeback. Just imaging what a serious result if one person loses his lung and kidney, it is clear that preserving wildness areas is so necessary and imminent.

Further, government should preserve the wildness areas which retain primeval characters and help to explain the origin of nature. Nowadays, the condition of them is the outcome of history which is a continual process and far longer than the human history. If people want to study what happened before, the best way is to study the time trail, such as the difference of terrane which tells the movement of the earth, fossils which shows the development of animals and plants, and the site of ancestor which reveals the life style of human beings before. All of these kinds of materials are invaluable, because we could draw a developmental line through time by analyzing them. Without proper protection, a few people who do not care them would destroy disregardfully and then the line becomes discontinuity, which is badly injury to the human history.

In addition, government should keep an eye on the wildness areas which may be badly destroyed by only a few people. With the development of  technology, people could access farther place and do things easier by the hi-tech. For more wood, a few people deforest the tropical rainforest by operating machines; for dressing the nicer hats by beautiful feathers, some hunters could make kinds of birds almost disapear and even for escaping the cleaning fee, some firms throw their trash away to wildness areas. Thus, government should take the response to them, and few people should not be the reason against tha action.

In sum, government should preserve the wildness areas that have significant meanings in the natural and social aspects. Human beings, usually incapable to learn the whole world and then damaging it in short sight, should have the developmental consciousness to change our earth and leave some valuable materials to our offspring.
