提纲：
1．   这个想法是好的。诚然，建立一个全球化的大学，有助于集中各国的力量，研究出最有效的针对当前难题的解决方法。但这个计划及其目的在现在看来有些不现实
2．就大学本身而言。建立全球性的大学很难，因为不同国家的实力不同，这样就很容易造成某些发达国家占主导的情况，这样对解决这些社会问题没有意义。
3．就问题而言，世界上社会问题包括种族冲突、贫富不均、恐怖主义等等，这些问题的造成有很复杂的原因。各个国家的情况不同，靠一个大学来解决不可能。另外，现在存在的这些问题很大程度上是人类自己缺乏宽容，理解，同情的精神，更重要的是人类本身还没有理性到能超越民族，种族与国家界限的程度。人类的自私就是最大的根源。现有的经济也不足以支撑世界大同。这些都不是不是一所大学就能够解决的。

The proposal of the speaker that building a global university designed to engage her students in solving the world's most persistent social problems through the effort of all the nations is inspiring and exciting. However, after carefully pondering, I was felt it will remain just a fantasy hard to realize, not only the final goal that coping the social problems successfully but also the operation of the global university itself.

Admittedly, a global university, the paradise of students and teachers, would have considerable advantages and merits if it
existed. The university’s faculty and students would bring diverse cultural and educational perspectives to the problems they
focus on. A great number of useful insights or suggestions may come from the collection of wisdom so that a variety of
alternatives might provide an optimal way to certain specific problems.In addition, a global university creates an environment
for cultivating an international spirit and promoting mutual understanding among the youth from worldwide, which will naturally reduce conflicts and wars in the future.

Although the imagination of the university is wonderful, taking several facts into consideration, we may recognize the naissance of a global university proves to be a mission of impossibility. From the perspective of university itself, the operation and the
control is surely handled in several developed countries in return of their tremendous capital investment and their other
contribution in every process. What the developing nations who are still striving for basic life conditions can provide to
support the university? Workforce, or nature resources? If so, there is no sense to build up a global university aimed to deal with enduring social problems.

To address directly, the social problems are by no means settled by such a global university. The variety of troubles: terrorism, drug-addicted, race confliction, the polarization of wealth, and the like, which might bring serious consequences, resulting in
unemployment, panic, disturbance even world wars, are detrimental to the whole world rather than a certain nation. And
different countries have its own problems. For example, terrorism maybe the top one need to be solved for America; whereas, for Israel and Pakistan, what should to deal with firstly maybe the race confliction. Some problems are derivate from centuries’ feud; some are brought by certain cause. They are so complicated that even the U.N. work hard to seek good methods to solve them. How about a global university?

In the final analysis, the existence of these problems is due to the limitation of human nature. We human being as a whole is still lack of the spirit of comprehensiveness, magnanimousness and compassionateness. Nowadays, we can not behave beyond
the boundary of race, nation, or country because inherent selfish and the insufficient wealth.

To sum up, the initial aim to develop such a global university is an excellent proposal. But it is idealism rather than realism. The lasting social problems can not be changed simply by a foundation of a global university. However, we have been aware that international cooperation is indispensable to deal with the enduring problems. What left is to find out the right methods.
