TOPIC: ISSUE130 - "How children are socialized today determines the destiny of society. Unfortunately, we have not yet learned how to raise children who can help bring about a better society."

As the rapid development of society and technology, what is important is that how to raise children in order to help bring about a better society. Many people point out that socialization of children will determine the destiny of society, but, in my point of view, besides children socialization, there are other determinants which also make a great contribution on our society, meanwhile, to some extent, we have already learned how to raise children in an effective way.
First of all, it is true that children socialization can lead to a property future. What is the meaning of socialization, I think that a child socialized can better realized that how to communicate with his or her fellows, how to cooperate with workmates in order to deal with certain problems and how to keep on spirit of fighting and progressing when he/she faced with some difficulties. With such qualities mentioned above, the child may become a powerful and socialized person, and therefore play a significant role in our times. For instance, in the realm of business, the main advantage of successful leaders is socialization. Because never company would success, if there are full of conflict among the employees. An outstanding manager will introduce employees to communicate with others, and then handle this situation.
In addition, besides socialization, other factors also will determine the destiny of society, such as creativity, unique individualization, critic thinking, and so forth. Nowadays, person with true capabilities apparently can gain attainment. Take Bill Gates as an example, he is talent in computers and also has peerless distinct individualization. His knowledge and spirit of creation indirectly produce a myth of Microsoft in business. On the other hand, if not, society can not grow up only with some common ones. In this sense, many determinants in a whole lead to the eventual development of society.
What is more, considering education, people have made a great improvement of raising children step by step. As society grows, level of education also improves. Today, educators more and more emphasize students’ abilities of communication, cooperation, solution for trouble. For example, if one wants to be enrolled by university or college, he/she should provide sufficient evidence of researching. On the other hand, even if he/she have a high GPA, it is entirely possible that the opportunity will be given to others--have a comprehensive ability.
Admittedly, there are some long-time disadvantages which educators still not resolve in an effective method. Although claimed that ability is much more important than grades, ironically, schools of most nations spend their major energy in underlining grades.
In conclusion，the socialization about children--as the same as other factors--actually determines the destiny of society. However, if turn our attention to education, we have found out the effective measure to raise children, though we own a long way to go and many difficulties to overcome. |
