Should every individual in a society obey just laws and disobey unjust laws? I strongly agree with the author. On the one hand, just laws serves a vierty of functions and individuals as citizens of a nation should obey it. On the other hand, every individual has a responsibility to disobey unjust laws, which could embody the democracy of a country and motivate the development of a society.

To begin with, just laws serves various functions. As we know, law, body of official rules and regulations, generally found in constitutions, legislations, judicial opinions, and the like, that is usesd to govern a society and to control the behavior of its member. Moreover, laws against crimes, for instance, help to maintain a peaceful, orderly and relatively stable society. Every individual as a citizen of a nation has a responsibility to obey just laws in order to gurantee the rights of most people. If individuals do not obey laws, society would be full of crimes and discrimination.  

What is more, it is equally important for every individual to resist unjust laws. In contemporary society, some authorized body such as a legislature or a court makes a law and laws represent the interests of governors, therefore it is entirely possible that sometimes law is unjust and damages the benefits and rights of some people. In this situation, it is vital for citizens to resist the unjust law. In a democracy nation, government should allow individuals to chanlenge the laws in order to embody its democracy which will help the development of the nation’s legal system. As we know, laws are legislated for benefiting citizens and therefor it is necessary for legislature to consider the suggestion of people in order to development. So it is individual’s obligatory to resist unjust laws to embody the democracy of a government and develop the society.

To sum up, every individual as a citizen of a nation not only has an obligatory to obey just laws but also disobey and resist unjust laws in oreder to develop the whole nation.
