Should students bring a certain skepticism to whatever they study? I strongly agree with the author's claim because skepticism is one of the paramount approaches of study. Moreover in my opinion critical thinking is defined as reflective skepticism and in favor of cultivating creativity.

To start off, skepticism involves two aspects. One is that in the process of learning, students should ask questions which they do not know. It is known to all that asking question could satisfy the need of students since everyone has curiosity of unknown things. When the question gets an answer, the curiosity is satisfied and more important is that it could inspire the learning interests of students. Moreover skepticism not only meets the curiosity needs of students but also is significant in the learning process. Einstein had ever said that it is more important to propose a question than solve a problem. If students just accept knowledge without considering the true law behind the superficial knowledge, the study procedure is only memorizing the existent things. Consequently, students are unable to apply the knowledge flexibly.

Another facet in skepticism is that the spirit of doubting and challenging the authority. Although some regulations have been proved by the former scientists, students may have their own views about the same principles because of different times and culture backgrounds. It deserves encouragement for such spirit for the times is changing and it is possible that the former principles have no longer been suitable for the contemporary era. If lacking this spirit, the whole human society would be in stagnation because the simply passive accepting existent knowledge would not have new attempt. Therefore it is necessary for schools to create the atmosphere of skepticism and cultivate this spirit of students.

In addition, one of the most vital forms of skepticism is critical thinking. Critical thinking is defined as reflective skepticism. First, the concept of critical thinking is that actively and skillfully conceptualizing, applying, synthesizing and evaluating information by observation, reflecting, experience and reasoning. It often refers the way to pursue a more relevant and reliable knowledge about the world without too much social, personal, emotional or historical influences. Moreover critical thinking is an active process of constructing knowledge instead of a passive way of getting main points. In such a thinking procedure, students must use analysis, synthesis and reflection, which may refer to attempting innovative thing. Therefore critical thinking could cultivate creativity since the precondition of creativity is not only to impose fixed though to a fact or passive acceptance but also try to find out other approaches to solve problem. If students get knowledge passively without skepticism, students are liable to form settled thinking pattern, which would restrict the development of innovative thinking. In such an information explosive era, it is necessary to use skepticism during study.

In conclusion, skepticism is significant in developing innovation. Therefore it is responsible for schools to create harmonious atmosphere of cultivating skepticism and critical thinking.

When the question gets an answer, the curiosity is satisfied and 前面这句像是多余more important is that it could inspire the learning interests of students. Moreover skepticism not only meets the curiosity needs of students but also is significant in the learning process.这个应该讲的具体些 Einstein had ever said that it is more important to propose a question than solve a problem. Consequently, students are unable to apply the knowledge flexibly.这里很明显没讲透,你的意思是学生应该去apple the knowledge 对吧?所以重心当然应该放在practical analysis and investigation

你从三个角度 satisfy curiosity, courage to challenge and critical thinking which lead to the innovation 来论述,个人认为置疑是为了满足好奇心,这个本身说不通,而你在论述courage是有没有强有力的例子做支撑,所以我认为你在critical thinking 上的论述颇有见解和新意,非常棒~努力,唉,我的肩膀实在酸的不行,两点半了,该睡了,呵呵
