Since students are already adults,universities are facing the dillema of whether to require students to attend class or not.As far as i'm concerned,i strongly hold the opinion that universities should not require students to attend class for 3 major reasons.

First of all,students can have a lot more spare time for other things that can be more valuable or have  greater influences on their futures.There is no doubt  that these influences may lead to totally different lives.For instance,if Bill Gates had had to attend class when he was an undergraduate,would Microsoft exist today?Or would people's life be so convinient with the help of the Windows?Certainly not.Therefore,if universities do not require that,and students can use the spare time properly,they will not only brighten their own futures but also make great contribution to the society.

What is more,studying by oneself is also an important way for a student to get improvement.Meanwhile,students can not only improve their self-learning ability but also may also save time.Based on personal experience,some teacher's class can be so tedious sometimes that it will not be necessary for students to attend.Due to this fact,universities should not require it.

Moreover,as a proverb says,"interest is the mother of study".Requiring students to attend class will kill(?) their original interst and may result in serious problems.It is needless to say that there are so many young people who have already lost the purposes pr condidence in life by the incredible pressure given by both society and universities.As a result,this really cause serious socia problems.In order to avoid this,universities shoul not require it.

Although some people may argue that requiring it also have some advantages such as that(?) it allows universities to control students more easily.However,considerting what I have explained above,universitie should not require students to attend class.

结构很清晰,论证也很不错,我觉得不太妥的地方就是你打问号的几个地方,想必你也有觉察,还有就是文末你在说对方优点时"control the students "不太好吧,因为你文章都是从学生角度出发谈优点缺点啊
