Some people believe that university students should be required to attend classes. Others believe that going to classes should be optional for students. Different people have their own reasons to support themselves

People who support the former point of view think that students who want to acquire knowledge must attend classes. In class students can acquire knowledge not only from textbooks but also from their teachers’ experience. Teachers can explain what the subject is like in theory and in reality. Teachers may also lead a discussion about a problem about a disputed problem. Students can comprehend the problem deeply and receive extra information from the discussion.

Except for acquiring knowledge from textbooks and teachers’ experience, students can also be informed how to put what they learned into practice, how to solve the problems during their practice and how to develop the skills they learned into new ones. By attending classes, students can learn things pretty well and quickly and avoid making a large amount of mistakes.

Going to classes also teaches students to take responsibilities, obey disciplines, make their own schedule and cooperate with others.

On the contrary, people who hold the latter point of view believe that going to the classes should be optional for students. Students can also learn their subjects well if they do not attend classes. Every student has his or her own study method. Teachers teacher students in their own way in class. Some students may learn well in class, but the others may not acquire what they need. They can not receive enough help and even may not study effectively in class. In some sense, going to classes means a waste of time.

In addition, students in the university should train themselves the ability of self-education. Whether attending classes or not, whether studying in the classroom or not and whether there are teachers or not should be the same.

To sum up, each of the two points of view above is not correct. I prefer that universities should divide the classes for students into two classes: compulsory courses and optional courses. Besides studying the compulsory courses, students have the option to attending optional classes or not. Attending the compulsory classes is necessary for students in the mean time the do not have to go to all the classes. Perhaps this is the best way.

Some people believe that university students should be required to attend classes. Others believe that going to classes should be optional for students. Different people have their own reasons to support themselves.  (in my opinion, this is not "yes/no" or 'either/or" question.  there is another possibility or alternative.)

People who support the former point of view think that students who want to acquire knowledge must attend classes. By attending classes, students can learn things pretty well and quickly and avoid making a large amount(number) of mistakes.

Going to classes also teaches students to take responsibilities, obey disciplines, make their own schedule and cooperate with others. (这段是否太短了?)

On the contrary, people who hold the latter point of view believe that going to the classes should be optional for students. Students can also learn their subjects well if they do not attend classes. Every student has his or her own study method. Teachers teacher(teach) students in their own way in class. Some students may learn well in class, but the others may not acquire what they need. They can not receive enough help and even may not study effectively in class. In some sense, going to classes means a waste of time.

In addition, students in the university should train themselves the ability of self-education. Whether attending classes or not, whether studying in the classroom or not and whether there are teachers or not should be the same.

your outline :
1. introduction
2. Boby:
b1 - b3.  advantages of "attending classes"
b4-b5.   advantages of "not attending classes"
3.  conclusion.

it's a very good essay.

suggestion:  b1--b3 --------> b1-b2  (advantages of "attending classes")
                  b4-b5 --------> b3  (advantages of "optional")
new outline:
1. introduction
2. Body. B1; B2; B3.
3. Conclusion   ---------  骑墙头.

根据建议修改了个别的词,更改了段落结构,如下:
