169. People listen to music for different reasons and at different times. Why is music important to many people? Use specific reasons and examples to support your choice.



Music, as a crucial form of art during human-beings’ long history, has great influence on people’s life. Why is it so? As far as I am concerned, there are 3 major reasons which I will explain in the following.

First of all, people nowadays have dramatically pressure for so many affairs such as working, studying that they badly(是不是口语化?) need ways to relax. As a result, music is one of the best means for recreation because it is a way to express oneself, to release one’s emotion and to forget those annoying things. For instance, when I turn on the compact disc(CD) player to have(不想用listen,但不知道是否口语化) some rock music, I can totally forget those arguments and after these songs, I will have confidence in dealing with any problem. Therefore, music is perfect for relaxation.

What is more, music can create a suitable environment for the place where it is being played. Undoubtedly, listening to some romantic song in a restaurant is really enjoyable and can help make a fantastic dinner which you would never forget. Some other kind of music, rock music for example, is often played during an NBA game and with its help, people in the stadium will feel the game is unbelievably fascinating and the players will play with passion as well. Obviously, music can create the necessary environment exactly at that moment.

I always appreciate traditional music because it could usually help me calm down and have a more clear thought. Whenever my mind is messed up(是不是口语化??), I always listen to the Pathetique by Beethoven(贝多芬的悲怆). It gives me a feeling as if I was alone in the quite world and that every thought becomes clear(这句话表答得不地道，不知道怎么改). Thus, one will have a more conscious mind listening to some music.

Music is around us anywhere at any time, performed by human-beings and performed by the wonderful nature. From the above, we can see why music is indispensable for us.
