"No field of study can advance significantly unless outsiders bring their knowledge and experience to that field of study."
正文:

I strongly agree with the viewpoint shown above that knowledge introduced from other field of study is paramount to our research. Currently, as people in growing numbers are coming to recognize the fact that our world is a web of seamless forces interacting with each other, it is almost unable for advance in a special realm whether it is art, science or history without the help from other domain.

When the significant relationship between disciplines is concerned, the past of visual arts can tell us an interesting story. Before the first ray of sunshine in the 19th century pierced the dawn, the artist could not preserve the brilliant moment as vivid as the scene we felt by eyes for that the only tools they could depend on were just brush and canvas. It was until the break in chemistry can we find the material sensitive to light and invent the film, and then photography became popular growing to be a new form of visual arts. So without experience from chemists, the visual arts nowadays may still stay on paper or canvas, let alone to imagine an artist taking a photo of a beautiful sunset with a gadget at that time which was preserved and impressed us that much.

Besides the story in visual arts, some instances in science or technology can also prove the relationship between various fields telling us what a crucial role they have been playing in each other. Consider the invention of CDMA, a standard used in wireless telecommunication. Without calculus advanced by so many great mathematicians such as Newton and Leibnitz, the methods of signal analysis which are the basis of CDMA would be still unknown to us. Moreover, without knowledge of signal analysis and help from mathematicians, it is hard to transfer music or video by radio effectively, for that so far we are still utilizing mathematics in effective radio encoding.

To better support the viewpoint the speaker asserts, I would like to take the research of history as an example to accent my consent. As the research in history of Yuan dynasty of China was carrying on, historian found it difficult to identify the age of sword discovered in tomb of aristocrat at that era, it was the help from physical scientists who measured the content of C14 that gave the final solution. Sometimes when the study of history is going to further extent, it may be in some case necessary to query the linguists for explanation of the words lay on the bamboo slips. Therefore, the endeavor from only historians is hard, or in other words, not enough to figure out the answer of the riddle come from the lost memory.

In short, the world around us is a web of forces inextricably related, interplay of which could only be understood in varieties of disciplines. How could a field of study advance significantly without outsiders bringing their knowledge and experience to it?
