TS: To begin with, machine provides high quality service, as an excellent assistance in many social aspects

Further more, , machines are always inferior to human mind.
When it comes to the new century, the discussion of this issue among individuals and society as a whole has come to a vogue during the last decade. The author asserts that the machines will be always inferior to the human mind, for machines are just the tools. I agree with the statement- the machines, just as the tools in the social developing process, service human's mind and put in into practice.
To begin with, machine provides high quality service, as an excellent assistance in many social aspects. Taking one new technology applications for instance, a new kind of machine which can print the literature such as novels selected by customer and finally bound in one book has put into service in some libraries in America. People choose his or her favorite book and wait for some minutes, and then the books satisfied all the public's taste will come out to people's hands. The machine creates a new era in book selling, literature spreading, and terminates the old era of selective sorts chosen by the press. In these cases, machines propels the social development, supplies better service for public, also accelerates the literature's spreading and the human civilization increasing as a whole.
From a personal perspective, however, public should not ignore machines' limitation in accelerating the social progress, that machines can not to make a practical decision instead of people, no matter how advanced it is. God creates human being; human being creates civilization and world. Though modern machine handles sorts of situations, taking the place of people, perfectly especially in peril, it is still a tool, even it reveals the capability human does not own. For example, the modern machine mentioned above whose function is producing a book in customers' wills can bring thousands of books, however, it can not write any single litter in its own will, for without any thoughts it only performs in order set ready before. So, we may call the machine a producer, not a writer. Human plans, and decides; machine obeys, and executes.
Further more, since lacking the capability of thinking and creativity which human owns, even possessing infinite time, vigor, and indestructible body, machines are always inferior to human mind. Human mind sketches the future blueprint which set the whole world on the fast developing road, whereas tool will be used to realize the dreams. And the notion, gained from science fiction, that in the future the machine such as robot will have wisdom like human even superior to human seems reachless in the present science technology situation.
To sum up, from what has been discussed above, we may firmly draw the conclusion that the human mind must be superior to machine in present. Even someday in the future machines have their own thoughts, we can totally believe human mind still control all tools no matter how advanced it is. |
