TOPIC: ARGUMENT142 - The article entitled 'Eating Iron' in last month's issue of Eating for Health reported that a recent study found a correlation between high levels of iron in the diet and an increased risk of heart disease. Further, it is well established that there is a link between large amounts of red meat in the diet and heart disease, and red meat is high in iron. On the basis of the study and the well-established link between red meat and heart disease, we can conclude that the correlation between high iron levels and heart disease, then, is most probably a function of the correlation between red meat and heart disease.

In this article the author concludes that the correlation between high iron levels and heart disease is a function of the correlation between red meat and heart disease on the basis of a study and well-established link, if any, between red meat and heart disease. However, the conclusion is unacceptable as it stands.

On the one hand, the author fails to provide detailed information to convince us that high levels of iron will contribute to increased risk of heart disease. As we know, whether the result of a study is convincing depends on the conductors, experiment facilities, methods and the time that the study was processed. Without any information, it is entirely possible that the study is conducted by several irresponsible and dishonest scholars who tend to improve their fame by cheat the science circle. And it is equally possible that the season when the study was experimented is coincidently faced with high risk of heart disease in that it is known that serious diseases are influenced the weather to a broad extent. If these are the scenarios, it is unconvincing that high levels of iron can increase the risk of heart disease on the basis of the study.

On the other hand, it is also suspicious that whether the well-established link between red meat and heart disease is still in action. It is admitted that classical theories have founded the basis of the world’s development in time passed. But it is always the subversion of old and flawed theories that aroused evolution which urged the world to speed up. Similarly, without any information, the well-established link between red meat and heart disease maybe out-dated and, further, perhaps scientists in the contemporary world have endeavored to overthrow the theory.

Even if the author can substantiate all of the foregoing links, they still accomplished nothing to bolster the conclusion that it is the function of iron that leads red meats to cause heart disease. The author is too cursory to draw this concept without experiments close relevant to it. Perhaps something else in red meats is playing a key role to threaten people’s health by increasing the risk of heart disease. Even, perhaps, after a doctor provided patients with red meats without iron contained, the state of their illness aggravated more seriously in that iron has resisted the function of major criminal.

To sum up, the conclusion is not well supported. To convince me the author should provide clear and detailed evidence of the study and the well-established link. To better evaluate the concept, I would need more information that whether the materials contained in red meats would influence the risk of heart diseases.

And it is equally possible that the season when the study was experimented is coincidently faced with high risk of heart disease in that it is known that serious diseases are influenced (by) the weather to a broad extent. If these are the scenarios, it is unconvincing that high levels of iron can increase the risk of heart disease on the basis of the study.

On the other hand, it is also suspicious that whether the well-established link between red meat and heart disease is still in action. It is admitted that classical theories have founded the basis of the world’s development in time passed(这个怎么理解啊?). But it is always the subversion of old and flawed theories that aroused evolution which urged the world to speed up. Similarly, without any information, the well-established link between red meat and heart disease maybe out-dated and, further, perhaps scientists in the contemporary world have endeavored to overthrow the theory. 虽然论述了旧知识的问题,但感觉还是不贴切于题目,给人模板的感觉,还是再具体一些好

Even if the author can substantiate all of the foregoing links, they(he) still accomplished(一般现在时好一些) nothing to bolster the conclusion that it is the function of iron that leads red meats to cause heart disease. The author is too cursory to draw this concept without experiments close relevant to it. Perhaps something else in red meats is playing a key role to threaten people’s health by increasing the risk of heart disease. Even, perhaps, after a doctor provided patients with red meats without iron contained, the state of their illness (is)aggravated more seriously in that iron has resisted the function of major criminal.

To sum up, the conclusion is not well supported. To convince me the author should provide clear and detailed evidence of the study and the well-established link. To better evaluate the concept, I would need more information that whether the materials contained in red meats would influence the risk of heart diseases.

已经差不多可以了,现在我们的任务就是让A更完美更具体一些,LZ的语言还是让偶佩服啊!
