Some people prefer to live in a small town. Others prefer to live in a big city. Which place would you prefer to live in? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.

It is true that different person likes to live in different kinds of places. Some one is used to living in countryside while others may prefer downtown. As for myself, I would like to stay in a big city. The reasons are as follows.

First of all, I think it is relatively convenient to go shopping in a big city. Since I like to do shopping in my spare time, I do not hope it takes me a long time to go to the nearest shop. Compared with a small town, the case in a big city is different. When I was 5 years old, I lived in a very a small town with few shops in it. When I wanted to buy something, even a pencil, I had to walk for 3 miles to the nearest shop. By contrast, now the situation changed as I live in the downtown of Beijing, the capital of China. With many supermarkets around my apartment, it takes me less than 5 minutes to get everything I want to buy. So convenience to do shopping is one benefit I get from living in a big city.

Secondly, there are many universities and schools in big cities. I like studying very much and pursue my scientific career in future. So I spend a lot of time studying on campus and communicating experience on research with students or professors in other colleges. Fortunately, the condition permits me to do so since there are a large number of universities located in Beijing. In this case, we can easily exchange our ideas about how to do experiments or how to publish papers with peers in other universities.

Furthermore, another important point I want to mention is that my girlfriend also likes to live in a big city, such as Beijing. So I have no other choice. She also likes shopping and enjoys all kinds of entertainment facilities in a big city. She likes to spend weekend in parks, theaters, cinemas, and bars. To accompany her, I have to get used to this habit. As these facilities are rarely found in a very small town, I have to live in the big city all the time to be with her.

In sum, I like living in a big city, particularly in Beijing, because there are many shops for purchase and many universities for academic communication. Moreover, my girl friend is also in Beijing. To be with her makes me persist in staying in this big city.

I think honesty is very important to be successful especially for those who want to be political leaders. Yes, I want to be a political leader of my country. I think if I always tell lies, all the citizens and people will not vote for me. In that case, I cannot realize my dream. Let us take Nixon as an example. He was the previous president of the United States. But he had to resign because he was not honest in the event of Water Gate. So I think honesty is very important.

看来我现在初步已经达到杜撰例子以假乱真的境界了。：）
我从小就生活在城市，而且到现在也没谈过girl friend。呵呵，只要ETS不会来调查就行了。
