A city’s construction plan is extremely important to the development of the city. There is always a problem that whether a city should preserve its previous buildings or damage them and make the city more modern. In my opinion, it depends on how far-reaching historical significance the buildings have. Moreover, different buildings can be taken different measures.

Some old, ancient buildings are of momentous current significance and broad historical importance to us. They can tell you the history lively and vividly. When you visit the buildings, you always be easy to image and learn the stories happened in them and have a clearly feelings which never happened in the class. Take the Forbidden City in Beijing as an example. When you visit the ancient and magnificent structure, your mind wonders in the Qing Dynasty when emperors lived there and govern the whole China. Another place in Beijing will also evoke many memories of the past, that is 圆明园. We never forget the Eight-Power Allied Forces, and plunder of them. The pitiful sight arouses our great sorrow, and reminds us of the shame.

Furthermore, the previous buildings not only have advantages in the history, but they also play a positive role in the architecture. To human being, the progresses often happen in the summarizations of the past. The old buildings, of course, do a great help to the architecture nowadays. We can learn a lot from the previous buildings on many ways like the design and material. Also, we have not found the clue to the mystery in the Egypt, which has a high status in the archeology. Thus, previous buildings are significant in both architecture and archeology.

Thus, if necessary, the old buildings should be preserved, because they exert an important effect on our lives. And no doubt is that the useless buildings should be destroyed. If so, the city can take on a new appearance and achieve modernization.

内容上很丰富，例子很多。但是有的例子有点跑题，写的时候，记得要尽量贴近论点

结构清晰，每个论述段的构架掌握得很好。但是你第二论述段末尾提到的考古学，我觉得放在第一段，或者单独成立一段比较好，因为比起建筑学的意义，它更贴近历史意义方面。而且你的布局是把建筑学放在两个关于历史的观点中间，好像是在讲A，没讲完就插入了B，等讲完B又想起来A，于是继续谈A，有点混乱
