169."Those who treat politics and morality as though they were separate realms fail to understand either the one or the other."

Should politics and morality be treated as if they are separate realms? I enthusiastically concur with the speaker's assertion that people who consider that they separate from each other fail to apprehend either politics or morality. In my opinion, they mistake both the nature and the relationship of the two. My contention is rendered as fellows.

As a threshold, providing numerous dissimilarities between politics and morality, people may easily draw the conclusion that these two realms are separated completely. They may argue that history is replete with multitude of examples to illustrate the distinctions of politics and morality: from pitiless and interest-oriented wars triggered by Roman Emperors to the immorally intrigues used by Henry the eighth and his opponents, all of which seems to imply that morality is excluded from the realm of politics thoroughly. And on the other hand, people who stick to the ethic standard strictly and have nothing to do with politics might be mentioned to support their claim. Albeit these seemingly convincing evidence connote that politics and morality are mutually exclusive, it's presumptuous to judge the relationship of them by just contrast the differences while unfairly omit the intricate interactions between them, an approach absolutely drops us into the abysm of falsehood.

Actually, politics and morality share a common purpose that the wealth of the whole society should be elevated and a well-formed order should be established and enhanced in order to prevent every single citizen and the whole society form being hurt by the chaotic anarchy. Those who just focus on the discrepancies fail to see the basic nature of the two. If we cast a look back at the headstream of human civilization, it is possible to identify the conjunct nature of the two realms. In his famous book "The Republic", Plato, under the name of his teacher--Socrates, combined the ethic standard, including justice and abstention, with the ideal regime perfectly, both of which were designed to increase the welfare of a certain city-state. Moreover, on the other side of the earth, Confucius, a little earlier than Plato, also developed a method to manage state affairs with the union of political interest and morality ideal.

At the even worse, those mentioned above also lose the opportunity to appreciate the evolution law of the relationship between politics and morality. History informed us that morality acts as a primary trend with the fluctuation generated by political power, which has a decrescent swing. At the ancient time, the deviation between the political practice and the budding moral conception is highly significant. Ever since the French Revolution, no matter how flintily the political war is, justice, equity and philanthropism--such moral creeds have become the main tune of every era. Nowadays, it's impossible to heard the accident that a leader of a democracy country is as atrocity as the some Roman emperors, such as Nero. The coincidence of politics and morality is increasingly with the development of human society and such a combination will certainly brings us a better future.

In sum, the phenomenon of the politics and morality is such a controversial one that certainly some of us, might still cast some doubt on the statement of the speaker and my analysis, but at least what I discussed above to some degree shake the adamantly held reverse belief. Generally speaking, an deep investigation of the relationship of the two can help us to understand the one and the other, while the opponent belief fail to interpreted the naissance and the development of both politics and morality.

Should politics and morality be treated as if they are separate realms? I enthusiastically concur with(好词) the speaker's assertion that people who consider that they separate from each other fail to apprehend either politics or morality. In my opinion, they mistake both the nature and the relationship of the two. My contention is rendered as fellows(follows).

As a threshold, providing numerous dissimilarities between politics and morality, people may easily draw the conclusion that these two realms are separated completely. They may argue that history is replete with(好) multitude of examples to illustrate(好) the distinctions of politics and morality: from pitiless and interest-oriented wars triggered(好词好词) by Roman Emperors to the immorally intrigues used by Henry the eighth(亨利8世是这样表达的么,不确定) and his opponents, all of which seems to imply that morality is excluded from the realm of politics thoroughly. And on the other hand, people who stick to the ethic standard strictly and have nothing to do with politics might be mentioned to support their claim(有点句意不明). Albeit(好) these seemingly convincing evidence connote that politics and morality are mutually exclusive, it's presumptuous to judge the relationship of them by just contrast the differences while unfairly omit the intricate interactions between them, an approach absolutely drops us into the abysm of falsehood.

In his(指代放在前面有点不太妥的说) famous book "The Republic", Plato, under the name of his teacher--Socrates, combined the ethic standard, including justice and abstention, with the ideal regime perfectly, both of which were designed to increase the welfare of a certain city-state. Moreover, on the other side of the earth, Confucius, a little earlier than Plato, also developed a method to manage state affairs with the union of political interest and morality ideal. (这段的论述有点空,如果能说的再实在点就更好啦)

At the even worse(这个表达不确定……), those mentioned above also lose the opportunity to appreciate the evolution law of the relationship between politics and morality. The coincidence of politics and morality is increasingly with the development of human society and such a combination will certainly brings us a better future.(这段如果能把逻辑关系再论述的清楚一点的话会更好)
