There are many historical events happened in my country, they all changed the developing path of the whole country. One of the most important events is the opening of my country---China, which not only change China itself, but also changed the whole world.

The first reason is due to the enrichment brought by the opening. About 30 years ago, China is one of the poorest countries in the world. Almost all the people in the country wore the same kind of clothes, because no more clothes can be produced. At the same time, only the government can afford to buy cars. But now China's GDP has surpassed Germany to be the third one. What's more, the living standard of average people has been increasing for a long time. The car, which is thought be to the symbol of the rich, has been an affordable transportation tool.

The second reason why the opening of China has a major effect is more and more countries begin to recognize China. In the past, China is a mystery country in the East. Only a few foreigners knew what happened in this old but new country. As one of the results of opening, China has been a popular traveling destination world wide. Every year hundreds of thousands tourists come to China to climb the Great Wall, to visit the West Lake and so on. In many countries, studying Chinese culture has been very popular. Many foreign friends are keen on the feng shui or the Chinese food such as Palace-style chicken chop.

And another reason is the development of science and technology. My country has missed the first Industry Revolutionary, and now with the opening of my country, we are trying our best to be one of the participators in the Information Age.  

It can be safely concluded that the opening of my country has a major effect not only on China itself, but also on the whole world.
