For fulfilling people’s requirement of entertainment, more and more movie theaters were built in the city, and the location of which becomes a controversial issue. In my opinion, I do not welcome to be neighbor with it.

To begin with, we must admit that a cinema nearby could bring a lot of merits. The most significant advantage is convenience. With the theater near our house, we need not to drive such a long way for watching a movie and be upset by parking problems. In addition, the theater will attract more customers and accelerate business around that in turn increases the value of the houses near it. As the houses owner, I will also gain extra profile by the increase.

Nevertheless, although the new cinema convenient our entertainment and even add our asset to some extent, it will incur plenty of problems which will overwhelm the benefits. One of the most serious issues is that the new construction might destroy the environment. As we know, people always enjoy some food and beverage when they watch movies. Thus the trashes they created will be full of sugar, protein and so forth which attract rats and insects that disperse into the neighbor houses easily. Moreover, many theaters give the pedestrians porters and leaflets as presents for canvassing consumers. While those who are not interested will discard the paper on the ground immediately that blemishes the street.

Furthermore, the noises are another problem worthy to mention. Besides posters, cinemas play the theme music of the move in front of its gate to create such an atmosphere to attract people. It is horrible for the people in the nearby houses who want to study or have a rest. And it is even dangers for those who have heart disease which might onset due to the noise.

To sum up, comparing with some kinds of convenience the new movie theatre brought, I prefer to live in a silent and natty environment. Therefore, I oppose such an announcement the author mentioned without any hesitate.
