The author of this article told us his or her conclusion of the decline in arctic deer populations that it is the result of deer being unable to follow their migration patterns across the frozen sea, which based on the reports from local hunters and the assumption the author made by limited evidences. This article is logically flawed in several main aspects.

Firstly, the phenomenon that the author present (presents) to us that the deer populations are(单复数?) declining is according to reports from local hunters. But, whether the words of the hunters isareobjective or believable should be called in(直接用questioned 是否更简洁) questioned. Moreover, if we assume that the reports is convincing, then since it is according to the local hunters, it cannot reflectsreflect the overall condition of the arctic deer. It is possible that the population of the arctic deer is rising in other regions greatly so that the entire population of the arctic deer is still in a booming state
.
Secondly, the author attributes the declining to the global warming trends occurred recent years, which lacks strongforceful or compelling 是否更好?) evidences to support his or he assumption. In the article, the author used the word 'coincide with ' to make the global warming be the cause of the declining of the arctic deer. But the author did not provide any data to show the melting extent of the sea ice. Since the sea ice in Arctic is vast and thick since ancient time, we have no reason to convince that it has melted too fast to let a single deer travel over it.

Thirdly, if we assume that the global warming is the reason why the population of the arctic deer declines, we can still see other possible reasons according to the article. Despite the migration problems, we should also take the habitat of the arctic deer into consideration that it is limited to areas warm enough to sustain the plants on which they feed. Maybe the situation is quite opposite that it is too cold in the region that these plants died and the arctic deer cannot find their food any more until death.
In sum, the article is logically flawed and therefore unconvincing as it stands. The author made far-fetched connection with the global warming and the decline of the arctic deer. To strengthen it the author should either provide better evidence or modify the conclusion he or she made.
