As rapid changes happen in modern society, more andmore modern affairs come into people's lives, somthing even contradictwith traditional customs, I concede these changes really puzzled humanbeings at frist. The speaker asserts that tradition and modernizationare incompatible, one should choose between them. As far as I'mconcerned, tradition and modernization are compatible though theysometimes are contradict to each other, one does not to choose betweenthem, what one can do is to insist on his own principle betweentradition and modernization. First of all, tradition is playing an important role inthe modernization of society. No matter how modern of the society, itcannot stand without tradition, tradition is the foundation ofmodernization. Take the folk songs for example, from even huandredsyears BC, there are many folk songs which were popular in the town orsuberb, some of them even came down to modern society. The PerkingOpera is one of the most representive example. Now, it is regarded asthe classic and traditional culture. Government and the public trytheir best to protect it from extinct. Perking Opera also influence theways of popular songs as some poplular songs in China was a combinationof opera and rock. Therefore, people can learn somthing from the oldtraditional culture which will benefit the growth of modern culture. Secondly, even nowadys, society has developed to be amodern and fashional society, tradition still does(is) not abandoned bysociety. As tradition is a signal of a sciety, tradition can influencethe development of the society to some extent. I don't know whether Iexgeerate the fact that tradition is the root of human culture andscience. Human know the value of traditional culture and customs, traditional art tools and buildings and so forth. For example, teaculture in Japan is a traditional culture which existed more than 10centuries (ago) and was intruded from China, even until today, theydevelop tea culture to be more populars, even other countries areinfluenced by tea, especially the western countries which does not knowtea any before. In addition, the economic of Japan is developing soquickly and makes it to be a modern society, but the Japanese does notfeel tea culture is incompatible with their modernization. So,traditins can be compatible with modernization. 这里举日本的茶例子不错,是原创的,但是你在将茶这个传统文化和日本现代化作比较的时候,应该具体点,譬如说与自动贩卖机的饮料(现代化的产物)作个比较,这样更具可比性(个人愚见) However, I don't think that one should choose fromtradition and modernization, one just need to insist on his ownpriciples between them. As discussed above, tradition not only bring ussome new idea of modern culture but also it is compatible withmodernization, so one should know when to advocate tradition, when toadvocate modernization(罗嗦了点). On the one hand, to those traditional cultureone should respect. If one does not interested them, one can only standby side to view, but should not breake them. For instance, one shouldrespect to those minorities and their special culture and custom. Whenpeople visit some famous traditional buildings such as the Great Wall, one must be impressed by the work of ancient Chinese. On the otherhand, if one are interested in moderlizatin of society, one can acceptthem, but this does not confilct with the accetion of tradition in somecircumstances. Thus, one don't need to choose from them, one justshould understand them and keep in his mind to know when tradition isbetter and when moderlization is better. In sum, the effect of tradition and moderlization areindispensible in modern society, they can benefit each other. Humanshould just call for a balance between them because they are notconfilct each other, they can be compatible with each other in modernsociety.基本上没什么大问题的,有那么一点点小瑕疵,但是瑕不掩瑜,加油 |
