66)Some universities require students to take classes in many subjects. Other universities require students to specialize in one subject. Which is better? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. Undeniable, facing with the the society of increasingly intense competition,to be proficient in a kind of professional kills could make students more competitive.and then this situation directly lead to the change of some universites’educational policy. They tart to require students to simply specialize in one subject. However, in my opinion, such lacking provident policy will violate the original intention of the universities and even restrict sdudents’personal development in the futre. First of all, university is a place from which most of comprehensive talents come.university studengts should contact various fields of knowledge.of course, I also agree that to be expert in one subjects is greatly useful, but I can hardly agree spending all of students’time and energy on them without learning others.because this totally violate the original intention of the universities. If so,where are the differences bewteen the universitis and technical schools? Evidently, universities is a place to cultivate the comprehensive talents while technical schools the technical talents. Secondly,to be skillful with just one object, from the long views, is not beneficial to students’personal development in the future.maybe,a kind of specialized knowledge can help you fingding a well-incomed job,but can not help you becoming a professor, entrepreneur or politician, because all they need an encyclopedia of knowledge. Take professor for example, because of close connecton of different fields of knowledge,a professor often needs to explain some relevant fields of knowledge before teaching the chief content,if one profeesor lack of this knowledge, how could he or she answer the questions from students when involving it. Taking all above-mentioned rensons into consideration,I tend to sustain that universities should require students to take classes in many objects rather than simply to specialize one subject. |
