*a person who evaluates works of art, such as novels, films, music, paintings, etc.



As the creator of the artistic works, the artists contribute most to the completion of a lasting valuable works, while the critics affect the valuation of these works and explore the further meanings of the unique and character. A lasting valuable artistic works contain the both efforts of artists and critics.

No one can deny the significant contribution of the creators towards their creatures. As a common of fact that most lasting valuable works is a time-consuming task, which sometimes require the artists to give up plenty of their spare time of life. Meanwhile, as the valuable works, the creation is always depend on the special skills of the artists in his fields and the unique distinguished understanding toward the theories and artistic knowledge. The famous works of the Pain of Sunflower with its unique painting style and combine of colors is the pictures which existed in the only mind of Van Gogh.

The critic efforts also serve the popularity of the valuable works. At first, it is the critics who attract the public attention to the special important works and that provide the opportunity for more people to know the works and meanwhile make it possible for the works to be accepted as a famous works. Secondly the critics make is possible to help the public to understand the further valuation of those works. The critics is different from the common people who usually concern about the first glance at the appearance of these works, but the famous works always emphasize on the indication from the available information or the unfold beyond the superficial background. And the critics are usually those people who have enough related broad information and professional knowledge; so that they could give the expert insight and angle to appreciate those works and discover the really importance and valuation in those works, then help people to accept them as the real lasting valuable works. That is just the very reason that many famous works are usually be assessed as their real value after a long time when they are created by artists. At last, the critics could feedback the significant suggestions and advices to the artists and in this way could encourage and instruct them to make the valuable works in future.

Both the artists and the critics are important and necessary for the lasting valuable artistic works. Without the artists, the best critics could not have the gift and ability to finish artists, letting alone to make it popularity. But only artists cannot to provide all people with the instruction and commons and notes for their works to be famous.
