Do you agree or disagree: It is important to know events happening around the world, though sometimes they are unlikely to affect your daily life. (2007.4.29,生活与个人成功类)

Living in the modern society, people are bombarded by the information happening around the world from various paths. Though some information does not influence people's daily life, it is of importance for every citizen to have realization.

In the first place, learning pros and cons from others can help reflect the advantages and disadvantages of ourselves. Keeping inform of the different trends around the world could maintain the critically and comprehensibly thinking. For example, in the United States, government provides a framework of laws for the conduct of economic activity that specify what information has to be disclosed to prospective investors when shares of stocks or bonds are offered to sale. According to the learning of their country’s policy, we should exploit a more efficient way to serve the public and enhance the economic market.

Next, though sometimes events happening in other places are unlikely to affect our daily life, the influence toward future can not be evaluated yet. Just take the 2008 Olympic Game as an example. The cherished 51 gold plates, which lead our China climb up to the top of the list, brings nothing to your income, your house or your living style, but this historical step aroused the world and strengthened the location of China in the world. It is of great possibility that more and more multinational corporations will surge into your city and compete with your present company. Then your life will change.

Furthermore, people who are aware of the events around the world are considered to be knowledgeable. Being sentenced as a boring and injudicious person are not favorable when working with colleagues and communicate with friends. Simultaneously, it seems to be smart and wise for you to broaden horizon of various kinds of knowledge. As Abraham Lincoln said one should always keep absorbing new abilities and knowledge to get together with the developing pace of the world.

In conclusion, it is undoubtedly useful to know events happening in the world. Knowledge is never to much to learn.

只有一些要说一下，第二段的意思感觉没太说完整，according之后是想说借鉴前面这个的例子，可以为我们国家这些体制的完善所用吧，那么，according和should就让这句话跟前面不太衔接，对吗？第二段和第三段如果能换一下顺序，感觉好像更顺畅一些。
