Self-confidence or specific knowledge

Self-confidence is the main condition to be something and complete business. The function of it is much more insignificant than specific skills and knowledge, because people who are confidential can quickly master the ability they need. The teachers should make students trust themselves through encouragement and praises, especially in elementary and junior middle schools. Therefore, I focus on that the teachers should understand self-assurance is more important in the students’ lives, not only the knowledge.

In the first place, self-confidence help students know themselves better. As a little kid, if he cannot be confirmed or encouraged he will not assume that he has the ability to finish something. Besides teaching, the teachers’ responsibilities are including bring the students an active attitude about lives and future. For example, a student will be frustrated about himself when was criticized on the reason that he could not accomplice some specific knowledge. Every one has different gift and benefits, so has his interest on distinct areas. Teachers should let those students know and find out their special ability. Like Mike Phelps who got 8 gold medals in Beijing Olympics, was a naughty and active kid in his childhood. He could not focus on study, but it was his couch who made an Olympic plan for him to get 8 gold realized Mike is a swimming genus.

In the second place, self-confidence can provide help in the future even if the students are not good at learning knowledge. For some students, they cannot master what they studied as kids, but those students can complete well when grow up as they have their dreams and understand why should do it. Another example is that when I was in elementary school, my math was really awful and never passed it in middle school, the worse thing is I almost forget all maths after I did not study it. But I know I must struggle it even from the foundation, because I have the desire to have a wonderful result from GRE. Therefore, I am not as slow as when I was a kid when consider math, one reason is I know why should study, and another is I have confidence on my English part. I will feel sorry if my score is low just because of math.

In conclusion, the teachers’ responsibilities are not only teaching specific knowledge, to realize the benefit of each student and give them self-confidence is more significant, and as they can adjust it when those students grow up some day. Without self-assurance, the students will not have the ability to utilize their knowledge even if they study well.

谢谢你的点平！我是个马虎的人 那两个单词是我写错了 是significant and accomplish. 还有中学那单词，我听美国人说过junior middle and junior high. Phelps小时侯有多动证，所以我想说他不能集中精力而不是单纯的不感兴趣 你不懂的那句话 呵呵说实话我也没懂！我写的时候也觉得有点怪 你说这要是考试怎么办啊 就30分那有时间检查 尤其我还比较马虎
