It has long been put into qualm in deciding whether it is better to get help from friends that are older than from friends that are of our age. Someone choose friends of the same age for the reason that it is easy for them to communicate with each other, on the contrary, I would rather choose the older friends and I will explore several reasons as follow.
The first reason for my propensity to the older friends is that they are more mature than I am. Certainly, the older friends experience much more than me which makes them more prudent in dealing with troubles. When I encounter some terrible problems that cannot be solved by myself, they could give me proper advices and sometimes help me to pass the difficulties. Here is an example that can aptly demonstrate my opinion, when I graduated from high school, I got confused in choosing my major after I passed the college enter exemption. At that time my brother who has now graduated from university left me an important suggestion that such choice is largely dependent on my interest. As a result, I chose Architecture as my major because I like drawing ver. much and I am now satisfied with the choice.
Another essential factor is that friends who are as old as us may not be mature enough to help us and give us advice. Such friend’s maybe kindhearted, honesty and patient, however, it is easy and logical to conclude that they are rarely wiser than us because their experiences are as limited as we do. Thus, we could imagine that when we met difficulties, they may be as nervous and uncertain as us, not to mention help us.

To sum up, when referring to what kind of friends should be chose to ask for help, it goes without saying that the older friends are more reasonable for the reasons discussed above.
