There are many resources of news and information in the world。it's difficult to know whom to believe and what is truth.谈一下你的观点(2005 年12 月17 日)
Nowadays we are living in an information explosion area. We can consciously or unconsciously receive a great amount of information from a variety of resources. Some people argue that the information they get are always reliable. However, as far as I am concerned, much information is incorrect and may mislead many people.
First of all, the quality of the news and information is diverse because of the providers’ background. It is known to all that many people are available to publish their ideas and news to the public by various media, such as the internet, newspapers, magazines, and even books. And it is undeniable that most of the providers are amateurs, so the accuracy of the materials they provided should be doubted. This can be well exemplified by the fact that many college students are interested in put their papers on the internet in order to benefit others who are attracted by the same area. However they may seldom realize that the quality of their papers is relatively limited, and there even be some mistakes cannot be neglected in them.
Secondly, a few people may do something illegal by informing fake news to the public to achieve their desire. Ironically enough, this kind of incorrect news can always be widely spread have a strong influence among people. For instance, in the disturbed stock market people are often affected by the comments from some so-called stock experts. It is obviously that some so-called experts intentionally fabric some rumors to make profit illegally. So this kinds of news and information sometimes is an intriguing trap to people.
In addition, some information is incorrectly created in front of the public because of many reasons such as religion, politics, history, and some other reasons. So, in my perspective, even some information from authoritative media cannot be trusted.
Therefore, from what has been discussed above, we are left to conclude that in current society the information and news should not be believed in readily.
