Do you agree with the following statement: nowadays people spend too much time on personal enjoyment--things they like to do-- rather than the things they should do.（2008年03月7-8日,生活习惯类）

In our modern society, some people some people may hold the opinion that people take much time on the things they should do, but others have a negative attitude. As far as I am concerned, I agree that more and more people increasingly spend too much time on personal enjoyment instead of doing what they should do. My arguments for this point are listed as follows.

One of the primary causes is that in the current, people have more spare time to do what they like to. With the rapid development of technology, the efficiency of the production has been promoted and then a great amount of labour has been released much. Thus, people are able to take less time to do things than before. Therefore, people will possess more time to do personal things such as playing computer games, do some physical exercises, and any thing they like to do. What is more, a variety of new things has been invented continuously such like all-in-one mobile phone, various computer games and so on. People are obsessed by them and very would like to spend much time on them. They are most likely to do things they like to rather than the things they need to do.

There is another reason we must consider is the fact that there are some people go into the jobs in which they are interested. It is so fortunate for them to regard hobbies as their works. Nowadays, the number of people like them has been increasing continually. Normally, they may be fashion designer, the designer for computer games or comic, and other sort of jobs. Not only can they enjoy themselves, but also earn a living. In short, it can be said that people like them are lucky enough to do what they like to.

Furthermore, it is of necessityto take into account of some public people who do not things they should do but do what they like to. They tend to pursue individualism and take no consideration of things they are obliged to do. for example, many famous figure are often inclined to do what they like to for their personal enjoyment, regardless of public images. Some of them take drugs, and show pornography and other things that destroy their own images and are harmful for the public. Most importantly, their bad behaviours will have a negative impact on teenagers. Therefore, we can say that these people do not do what they should do.

In a word, from what has been discussed above, we can reach the conclusion that people in present time, do take too much time to have personal fun rather than do what they should do.
