Every person has his/her own preference for work. Some people prefer to work independently, while others prefer to work with a group of people. But, from my point of view, it is better to work with a group of people. Among countless factors which influence my choice, there are three conspicuous aspects as follows.

The main reason for my propensity for working with others is that the ability to cooperate with others is of imporance. In today's society where the competition is increasingly furious, the significance of the ability to work with others should be stressed over again and again. A team can achieve much more than an individual can, because one has less strength than many have. This can be illustrated by team-played sports, such as football, basketball, and so on. In these sports programmes, team work is highly valued. In a competition, for example, to make a point or get a goal, team players must cooperate with each other, nobody can achieve without others' help. Although the individual competence is very important, too much emphasis on personal ability but the cooperation will cause the entire team a failure.

Another reason can be seen by every person is that there are circumstances where working with a group can increase the work efficiency. When working with others, discussing and debating become inevitable, which usually create a perfect environment to develop thoughts and engender the brainstorm, and where many problems can be solved. At the same time, members' knowledge varies from one to another, so they can supplyment each other, which can save time and energy. This is of benefit for the development of a team or even a company.

What is more, if working with a group, one can learn many merits from other people. Each person has his/her valuable virtues or advantages which can be learned by others. When working in a group, to make achievement for the whole team, every people will exert himself/herself to show excellent qualities and abilities. This is a good opportunitiny for one person to learn them and strive for making himself/herself better.

In a word, taking into account of all these factors above, we may reach the conclusion that it is better to work with other people than work alone.
