George Eliot, a British Novilist, once said, "You have such strong words at command, that they make the smallest argument seem formidable." Eloquence has such considerable power that it become a crucial ability for each person in today's world. How embarrassing for someone to say "Sorry, I can't say a word, could I return and write for you" when he is in a interview. As the society advances and the interpersonal communication become more frequent in recent years, I tend to argue that to speak well is more important to write well. To begin with, fluency of speech is more efficient and swifter mean of communication than writing in the rapid-pace information age. Faster accept external source and quicker response which are require in daily activities such as business negotiation, report, debate, or even common conversation, make expressivity as a requisite for anyone in the society. A great talker can use vivid and effective speech to express himself with sufficient information other's need, and make adequate explanation if there is a misunderstanding. By contrast, writing is relatively possitive and with further delay when misinterpretation or mistake exists. In this sense, smooth talker is more favorable than an experienced writer. In addition, eloquence is more beneficial to establish a harmonious relation with people around than literary grace. In a collective with diverse individuals, person who is articulate and wit is e popular and charming. The coworkers would feel ease to share their happiness and distress with the smooth talker as well as ask him for some help. I won't deny the gifted writer can also enjoy the company with others; his reserved gesture, however, will more or less prevent him from intriguing others or lead to a gulf. Thus, eloquence play a more indispensable role in expanding your social network. Furthermore, a skilled speaker, who is required more wisdom and quick mind, will more likely to win recognition, respect and success. For instance, there are competitor in job, one of whom grasp the real art of conversation, while the other is good at writing. Through well communicating with the bass and the staff as well as generously expressing himself, the great talker has more chance to promote. Moreover, the person possessing the capability to persuade and convince others, can easily enjoy the confidence and trust from your partners and get what you want, which makes him one step closer to his goal. In sum, I believe the capacity of eloquence is more vital for each citizen to develop than literary grace. The expressivity which requires mental agility could express yourself quickly and efficiently, build and sustain mutually beneficial relationships, and easier grab others' credit and your achievement. The ingenious writers who lack of fluency of speech should have great patience to wait his insight scout ("Bole" in Chinese).
