Will working outside a university in related field upgrade the quality of instruction of professors? Can the policy finally benefit our education system and society as a whole? The answers may not be so optimistic though it is true that a career outside academic worlds has its own merits since teachers can get in tough with more practical knowledge thus eventually introduce to its students.
Actually, whether the idea feasible is still debatable. It is undeniable that there do exists certain problems in the university education, both the attitudes and the facilities are outmoded. If we require the entire faculty to work outside the academic field, can those problems been solved? Yes, but only to limited extent. However, the consequences associated with it would be even harder to be solved. Could the tutors maintain enough time to review their text and supervise students as they are doing at the moment? Could the professors be energetic in the scientific innovation as they are currently? Moreover, will many faculties choose to stay in universities as they earn much more outside the academic world? It is imaginable many, if not most, will be exhausted or choose to quit from universities, which is a disaster to the university education.
Additionally, it is unnecessary to force the professors working in related fields. Nowadays the cooperations between university and factory or governments are becoming more frequent. The elites faculties are also seeking opportunities to get in touch with the outside world. Nonetheless, frequently toughing with the outside world is not the sole prerequisite for solving current problems. Even though all the professors are working outside while maintain enough energy to supervise their students and the scientific research at the same time, problems related to the low efficiency of students' acquiring knowledge is till remained. Even though we introduce the most practical knowledge the effects will not getting better as the students are not fully got involved. That is to say, we do not maximize our education function in this respect.
Is that perfectly wonderful if we do nothing but refuse the idea that the faculty working outside? Simply no. Problems will not be solved if we do not change our method of teaching and upgrade facilities. The simple speak-listen method of teaching is the major problems we are facing. The professors should encourage their students to share their ideas or even asking questions. Apparently, the most severe problem of today's college education is not the weak link between professors and factories but that between professors and students. Moreover, we should also encourage the students to find internship in related areas instead of the tutors as it is the students that need more practical knowledge and latest minds, which will also benefits their future career. The government should also pay attention to upgrading the experiment facilities; otherwise, the students are still outmoded.
In sum, though the idea of forcing all the faculty work outside the university will help to solve certain problems, I still doubt whether it will be feasible considering new problems accompany with it. It is also unnecessary as many professors are trying to get in touch with the outside world by other means. A more reliable policy as mentioned above that students really get involved and try to intern will contribute to a better education which is both feasible and necessary.

Actually, whether the idea is feasible or not is still debatable it is still debatable about the feasibility of this idea是否更通顺一些. It is undeniable that there do exists 想要用强调句的话先注意下语法does exist(希望以后多用word的纠错功能)certain problems in the university education, both the attitudes and the facilities are outmoded. If we require the entire faculty to work outside the academic field, can those problems been solved? Yes, but only to limited extent.I take leave to ask you a question: why facilities problems can be solved? It is highly possible what they earn will only add to their salary.
"In order to improve the quality of instruction at the college and university level, all faculty should be required to spend time working outside the academic world in professions relevant to the courses they teach."
What is the quality of instruction at the college?
What are the criteria of its value?
Is it necessary to force all faculty to work outside their academic world?
What is the purpose of university education?
……………………

If we require the entire faculty to work outside the academic field, can those problems been solved? Yes, but only to limited extent. However, the consequences associated with it would be even harder to be solved. Could the tutors maintain enough time to review their text and supervise students as they are doing at the moment? Could the professors be energetic in the scientific innovation as they are currently? Moreover, will many faculties choose to stay in universities as they earn much more outside the academic world? Nonetheless, frequently toughing with the outside world is not the sole prerequisite for solving current problems. Even though all the professors are working outside while maintain enough energy to supervise their students and the scientific research at the same time, 这句放做段首句更好,能承上启下problems related to the low efficiency of students' acquiring knowledge is till remained. Even though we introduce the most practical knowledge the effects will not getting better as the students are not fully got involved. That is to say, we do not maximize our education function in this respect.
