98. If you were asked to send one thing representing your country to an international exhibition, what would you choose? Why? Use specific reasons and details to explain your choice





If I were asked to send one thing representing my country to an international exhibition, as a chinese, I would choose to seng a giant-panda tool for 3 major reasons in the following.

First of all, the giant panda is a symbol of my country. That is to say, some of its characteristics are similar to those of China and Chinese people, such as kind, friendly and calm. By this means, people around the world will have the chance to see a real china from the giant-panda tool and there will also be less prejudice towards china to some extinct. This is indispensable for the country’s development as well as the whole world’s development because China has the biggest population in this world. Therefore, I firmly hold the opinion that a giant-panda tool should be sent.

Second, as we all know, giant panda is one of the species throughout the world that are becoming extinct. So far, it is reported that only 103 giant pandas are now living in Wolong where they used to be much more. If a giant-panda were sent, not only will the world know that China is trying to save this species, it will also draw more attention to them and thus, the more attention from the world on protecting them, the less hunting for their fur there will be. As a result, I want to send a giant-panda tool.

What is more, several months ago, the giant panda was chosen to be one of the symbols of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Obviously, it is supported by the whole China. Hence, my choice would be most people’s choice.

As a consequence, to be an accurate symbol of China, to draw the world’s attention to protect this precious species, and to satisfy most Chinese, I choose a giant-panda tool to be sent.
