Nowadays, the world is changing more and more rapidly with a great deal of new knowledge and information involved diverse academic disciplines developed. It is the study of various academic disciplines that does not only help to enrich our knowledge concerning the world but also alter the way we experience and perceive the world to a significant degree. After studying a certain discipline, we can observe and learn the world more profoundly from different perspectives to the extent that the study of the discipline equips us with recondite knowledge about the world and thus help us understand the essences as well as rules of the world, though we should not blindly trust what we study but cherish our own perspectives on many occasions.

To begin with, the study of an academic discipline helps us to learn the world from a profounder perspective. Before studying the discipline, little can we learn in this discipline which is likely to prevent us from understanding the world thoroughly and completely. By studying the discipline, however, we are able to learn far more relevant knowledge regarding the world in the domain. Also, the studying of the discipline renders it possible that we can learn much more about the essences and rules of the world, which hardly can we learn directly by other means. As a consequence, it is the study of an academic discipline that alters the way we observe and perceive the world. For instance, after studying classical mechanics, we are able to learn the motional rules of nearly overall macro objects whose velocity are far lower than velocity of light, such as automobiles, bicycles, pedestrians, birds and so forth.

In addition, the study of academic disciplines helps us to learn the world from much more different and broader perspectives. A variety of sciences benefit us to understand the essences and rules of the material world, while liberal arts and diverse social sciences  are of great use and help for us to learn knowledge, theories and phenomena happening in society. After studying politics, economics and philosopher, for example, we can come to realize the complex relationship between politics and economics, and then know that economy is the very fundament of overall domains in society while economy and politics can affect each other mutually, which can exert a profound influence on nearly every field in society.

Admittedly, the study of academic disciplines is so significant that we have to make every effort to study more disciplines as well as we can. However, studying disciplines simply provides us with an approach to learning the outside world, and we must perceive and understand it by ourselves to form our own notions and viewpoints. Moreover, divergences and mysteries, which need to be further tested and justified, still do exist in a majority of disciplines. Consequently, we should remain doubtful and discreet of such parts of disciplines rather than blindly believe what we study.

In sum, studying academic discipline provides us with a direct and convenient approach to learning the essences and rules of the world, which alters the way we perceive the world to a significant degree. Due to the divergences and mysteries in most of disciplines, we should cherish our own views in the circumstances and strive to test whether what we study is true or not.
