  As one of the world’s oldest cultural empire, China has a myriad of thing to represent itself as its country symbols. However, people always tend to have distinctive opinions on which one to choose to be exhibited on an international exhibition. When faced to question myself, I would prefer to choose panda, our country treasure, to be the one.

  One of the most significant reason for my choice is that pandas, who live only in China now, are one of the most appropriate symbol of our country. When talking about them, the first word out of most of, if not all, people’s brains is the term “China”. We can imagine the visitors to the exhibition, catching in sight far away a lovely baby panda would at once notice that China is part of this exhibition.

  Besides their representative function, another striking argument for my choice goes to the fact that people all around the world are crazy about panda’s lovely face, brushy fell, and clumsy behaviors. A lot of countries have asking our government to send one or two of them to their national zoos, and they are always visitor’s favor. A panda at the exhibition would definitely explore people’s affection and good feelings towards our country.

  Furthermore, sending an invaluable animal to an international exhibition would show the country’s cultural custom of infusing with the nature. Just picture that in the exhibition full of modern techniques and scientific productions which most countries would choose to represent themselves stands in a corner an item plate with a lovely animal in it, this will surely stun the visitors in contrary to other exhibits.

  To put it into a nutshell, despite that there are a variety of other candidates in representing our country in an international exhibition, I would choose panda due to its cuteness to attract visitors’ affection to it and in consequence to our country, its great representative characteristics, and its function of showing one of our country customs.
