The speaker alleges that only outsiders bring their knowledge and experience to another field of study can that field make significant advancement. I concede that every field of study may already achieve much goal as the development of science and technology; however, it gains more possibility to make greater advancement within the integration of several fields of study.

Actually, there is tight interaction between the different fields of study, as the interior of science is an entire whole. As M Planck, the winner of Nobel Prize in Physics, once said, the essence of science is actually adherent, however which is divided into different fields by people's unilateral recognize towards it but not the inbeing of such things. Planck announces that all the fields are supposed to be taken into account, which may intertwine together to effect each other and stride forwards. What is more, though people already acquire distinct knowledge from different parts of science, the edge of those fields are still blank, where people pay no attention. Hilbert, a distinguish mathematicians, believes raising problems would do good to the development of certain realm of study, otherwise that field would lack of vigor and definitely decline. Furthermore, there comes another requisite trend of the thrive of the cross-disciplines. Within the great changes in the society taking places such frequently and the development of science and technology at a flying speed, cross-disciplines, although just spring out compared with those independent disciplines, seem find their way to better serve people. For example, as people focus more on the stable development of the society, many factors need to be considered towards one problem, such as environment, energy, population, ecology, the living quality of people and so forth. That obviously limits the independent disciplines while provide the opportunity to cross-disciplines to spread its merits.

In addition, the application of cross-disciplines not only expands to a dramatically large extent among science nowadays, but also makes significant contribution to those complex and new problems. When coming to this claim, there is no better example than the one with the discovery of the structure of DNA. In the year 1953, American biochemist James Watson, and British biophysicist Francis Crick, after their cooperated work on this task, described the structure of the DNA molecule as a double helix, somewhat like a spiral staircase with many individual steps. The cooperation of cross-disciplines benefits them to conquer such difficulty and lift the human cognize of ourselves to a higher level.

From what has been discussed above, we may safely reach at the conclusion that following the complex correlation between different disciplines, which together serve people in a better way than any one of them, we should place more attention on the cross disciplines. Their study may lead us to the significant progress in the process people explore the realm of science.
